SAMBAL TEMPOYAK IKAN BILIS

Photobucket

That day, when my mother came for her eye's surgery, she brought the durian paste (tempoyak) along. Actually I still have a container inside the fridge.

Well, after days off from the kitchen tasks, yesterday I made Sambal Tempoyak but this time I invent a new style. I put some anchovies inside.

1 red chilli
5 bird's eye chillies
1/2 handful cleaned anchovies
1 tsp salt

3 tbsp durian paste (tempoyak)

Pound all ingredients except the tempoyak coarsely.
Add in the tempoyak dan stir well.

Since I ain't got any fresh ulam, so the tempoyak sambal stand alone to be mixed with rice.

Port Klang lagi

Last Saturday, demam Qayyum dah kebah. Malam tu, Papa baik hati dengan mengurangkan beban kerja aku, ajak keluar makan. On the way, call Enal, ajak diorang berdua untuk join kitorang ke Triple 2. Picked them up kat Pelangi, then off ke Triple 2.

Order laksa favourite aku tuh, suap Qimie nasi lemak panas. Sambil-sambil tu mengunyah pulak otak-otak panas berasap.

Macam biasa la, kitorang sembang hal terkini pasal couple tuh. Lepas tuh, pegi Port Klang. Anyway, haku pon tak faham apa la yang best sangat kat Port Klang ni, selain dari Muara Ikan Bakar or tengok peoples fishing.

When I picked Qayyum and Qimie from the nursery yesterday, I was told that Qayyum was having a fever. Yes, his body was quite warm, so we decided to bring him to the doc - our fave doc in BBSB. Before that, we went to Seksyen 6, KD because Papa wanted to eat char kuey tiow. And I asked him to tapau roti tisu for me since I am fasting.

Qayyum's temperature was at 39ºC, so the doc gave him 'ubat montot'. On the way back home, I 'tapau'ed nasi campur from a Kelantanese stall near the PAS leader house in my residential.

Breaking fast then kemas sana sini sket2 since my brother is coming for my mum's checkup (today). They reached our house at 1.30 a.m.

Puasa Day 1

Ari nih aku start posa ganti setelah beberapa percubaan yang gagal sebelum ini. Ini adalah kerana teman sepejabat ku yang selalu mungkir janji untuk posa (dan juga kadangkala diriku sendiri, agaggagag). Aku sahur pukul 5 pagi tadi, makan 2 keping roti sapu garlic butter dan 1 mug Nescafe susu sebab aku malas nak panaskan kari ayam balance smalam.

Ekceli, sepatutnya semalam aku dah start posa, tapi si Awien suka tau, tak posa la pulak, pastu tanduk dia dah keluar dok hasut aku bukak posa and join her for lunch. Pastuh dia sebut-sebut pulak pasal aroma Nescafe yang mmg la mencairkan hati aku yang separuh cair dah sebelum tuh. So terjadi la dua episod – satu, aku ngan Awien pegi wat Nescafe kat pantry dan kedua, time lunch kuar nak pegi tapau depan Leno tu, but then, bapak la ramai pekerja Leno lak semalam. Selalu 5-6 orang je, smalam langsung penuh stall tu, takde chance nak mencelah hatta menggapai polisterene pon. Rasa-rasanya, by the time kitorang nak menapau, mmg harus tinggal kuah je kot, sbb brader tu mmg tak bawak byk lauk.

So, disebabkan Awien tak bawak keta, dia ajak aku jalan kaki ke seberang nun - Bistari D'Kota kot nama dia, tempat ada Gulam Mee dan Diana's Tomyam Restaurant tuh. Adeh, haku lak smalam keanggunan memakai wedges agak tinggi, adeh la nak jalan kaki dalam ujan renyai sambil memakai payung (tah sapa punya tah, Awien main rembat aje kat opis tuh). Baru 2 tapak kedengaran hon di belakang kami, oooo Puan Nurhayati Cheng Abdullah rupa-rupanya, ajak kitorang kuar lunch ngan dia. Ngeh ngeh ngeh... alhamdulillah (padahal aku dgn Awien rasa termalu alah - Awien la esp sbb dia penah kata kat Pn Nur dia nak kuar lunch ngan aku jek....) ekekkke

Kitorang lunch kat Gulam Mee, memula rasa nak makan pasembor je, but then takde la pulak, pastu tgk lauk dia pom cam bes so amik la nasik separuh. Amik sayur peria goreng ngan telur, terung masak sambal, kari daging, kena la RM5 + 20 sen utk air suam (ikutkan ati nak nescafe ais, tapi takpe, ptg karang wat). Sambil makan sembang la, Pn Nur cakap dia tak lama lagi maybe nak resign, dapat offer utk mengajar kat Islamic International School kat Sunway Damansara. Good for her though, wat per stay at this age kat opis ni (she's 60+ - teacher retiree) kalo ari2 asik kena bambu ngan Julie kan.

One-week stock (or maybe more)

Papa bought these seafood from the night market near our residents. If I cook daily this week, maybe it can last for the whole week, but maybe will be extended to the next week if we were to dine outside (the case when mummy so lazy to cook.)

Wedding Card

Photobucket

I received this wedding card from an old friend, Ayu. She's getting married in August. Still not sure whether I can attend her wedding or not, but I wish I could.

After celebration

These pixies were taken at The Curve after we celebrated Qayyum's birthday last week. They changed their outfits after swimming at Pelangi Damansara that evening.
