Qayyum's Raya Class Party ~ 20.7.2017

Assalammualaikum,

Pagi ni melayan request Qayyum untuk bawa makanan ke sekolah sempena sambutan Raya. Mula-mula dia minta karipap. Oh, memang tak la... tak sempat dan tak larat nak buat benda renyah. Balik keje pun dah pukul berapa, nak masak inti, nak kelim semua.... huhuhu.

So saya decide nak buat something simpler, maybe mihun or kuey teow goreng. But that kind of food are too mainstream, so why not something different but at the same time simple to make? As for Qayyum later asked for macaroni carbonara, I think that was not convenient as the gravy might not be enough. Nanti kuah habis, tinggal makaroni je, nak makan dengan apa pulak kan?

Coincidentally, I watched a video posted on FB, something like quiche but in a simple version. The recipe used white bread as its base, the egg gravy poured on top then baked.

So, that give me an idea. Why don't I combine white bread and macaroni and baked them like quiche? I think for two pieces of 8 x 8 inches aluminium foil mould should be enough for his class.

So, jom tengok resipi modified saya. It tasted quite good, creamy and not spicy, the kids would love it.

Baked Macaroni Carbonara Quiche

Bahan-bahan:

1 peket makaroni – direbus mengikut arahan, ditoskan
8 keping roti putih Gardenia – dipotong bahagian tepi, simpan separuh
10 biji telur – dipukul kembang
10 batang sosej ayam – dipotong kiub kecil
1 biji bawang Holland – didadu kecil
1/2 biji capsicum kuning – didadu kecil
1/2 ikat kucai – dipotong kecil
15 biji tomato ceri – dipotong 4
1 tin sos carbonara Prego + 1/2 tin air suam
2 sudu besar serbuk lada hitam
6 keping mozzarella cheese slice Emborg
Garam dan Maggi Cukup Rasa

Cara-cara:

  1. Panaskan oven pada suhu 200°C selama 15 minit.
  2. Sementara itu, pukul telur bersama garam dan Maggi Cukup Rasa hingga berbuih dan kembang.
  3. Masukkan sos carbonara dan serbuk lada hitam dan pukul sebentar. Masukkan bahagian tepi roti dan rendamkan sebentar. Ketepikan.
  4. Susun roti di dalam bekas aluminium (4 keping 1 bekas).
  5. Tabur sosej, bawang Holland, tomato ceri dan kucai sama rata ke dalam kedua-dua bekas.
  6. Carik-carikkan 3 keping cheese dan tabur rata di dalam satu bekas. Ulang untuk sebekas lagi.
  7. Sendukkan adunan telur ke dalam kedua-dua bekas sama rata.
  8. Bakar selama 1 jam, api bawah. Selepas 40 minit, turunkan suhu kepada 160°C dan bakar api atas dan bawah hingga masak.
