Saturday (13.9.14)
Unplanned…as usual. By Saturday morning, En K asked me, do u want to go for a holiday? I asked where to? He said, Kelantan.
So, told Mak and started packing for the trip. He always like this…ad-hoc plan. So I packed whatever I can think of, hoping that it will last until Tuesday.
We had lunch first at Restoran Rasamas. Then, the journey started. We travelled through Bentong and Gua Musang. At first, we wanted to go straight to Kota Bharu, but when we arrived at Kuala Krai, it was already 7.30 p.m. and Waze stated that Kota Bharu is 1 hour + away. So we decided to spend the night at Kuala Krai. We stayed at a budget hotel, Hotel Mikraj. The rate is RM110 for a family room, consisting of 1 double bed, 1 single bed. Went out for dinner at a nearby restaurant. The kids wanted roti canai so it's on the menu. The roti canai was good, but the gravy is quite sweet for me but the kids love it, so no issue.

Sunday (14.9.14)
Before continuing our journey to Kota Bharu, we had our breakfast at the same restaurant. The kids still wanted roti canai. I ate nasi berlauk gulai ayam.

We continued our journey to Rantau Panjang. Bought a bag of Thailand rice (no starch) for RM12. Also bought 2 bottles of tom yam paste (RM7 per bottle), 1 pack of pulut susu (milky glutinous rice) for RM5. And I got my new pestle and mortar here (bigger than what I have in my home) for RM28 (supposed RM30). En K bought some jerseys.
Had our late lunch at a roadside restaurant.

As the day went by, we searched for a hotel to spend the night. It was raining, and all the hotels were full house. Dang! I called so many hotels and home stays until I found one in the city centre, they got a family room for RM150. But when we reached there, we thought better let it go, the hotel looked scary, haha. So try to find another hotel in Pantai Cahaya Bulan but also full house. At last we found one, Hotel Bintang (can't remember) also for RM150 (family room – 2 double beds). As for dinner, we just went to the nearby restaurant.

Monday (15.9.14)
Next morning, we tried to find the famous Kopitiam Kita for breakfast, but to no avail. Waze kept gave us the wrong direction. So we thought it was not our rezeki to try the roti titab then. We end up had our brunch at a restaurant that served freshly cooked Kelantanese dishes.

We continued our journey to Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah. Mak bought her favourite turtle eggs (the rest of us felt very weird about it). 1 pc for RM4! I still remember Mak used to buy turtle eggs in Pasar Besar Ipoh when I was little. It was only 80 cents those times. She bought 3 pcs for RM11 (fresh). We also bought some cendawan kukur (RM5), jeruk maman (RM1 per packet), cili solok (RM2 for 7 pcs), jeruk (fruit pickles) for Kak Anie (my SIL), RM2 per packet (mango, kelubi, anggur, cermai). I searched for Rempah Cap Bunga Ros but can't find it. But I bought some homemade spice powder for RM1 per packet (rempah gulai darat, kerutup).
Continued our journey to Kuala Terengganu. Since we didn't book any hotel, I call Tabung Haji but it was full house. I tried to call KT Beach Resort and made a booking (RM170 for family room – 1 double bed, 2 super single beds).
Reached Kampung Losong around 6.30 p.m. There was a long queue at one of the outlets but En K willing to queue. He bought 2 packets of fried keropok lekor. I was worried that the hotel will release my booking since it was quite late already. After that, we went to the resort and luckily they still kept the room for us.
As for dinner, we went to a restaurant in Batu Burok Beach. It was raining heavily that night.

Tuesday (16.9.14)
Breakfast at a roadside stall. Went to Batu Burok beach and let the kids flew their kites for a while.

Went to Pasar Payang. Mak bought another 3 pcs of turtle's eggs (cooked) for RM10 (cheaper than Kelantan). We also bought some frozen roti canai, some junk foods, dokong, mata kucing, fruit pickles, nasi dagang rice and some other things. I searched for Rempah Cap Bunga Ros but when asked at two stalls they said it was sold in kampung area only.
But I tried to ask another stall and luckily the Mak Cik got it. So I bought 2 large packets of Rempah Gulai and 2 small packets of Rempah Masak. Got to google the recipes using this two types of spices.
Around 3 pm we started our journey to Kuantan. Reached Tanjung Lumpur at 6 pm. Kids flew their kites again. Ate dinner at Ana Ikan Bakar Petai. Ordered ikan pari baker petai, lala masak pedas, sup tulang. Continued our journey to Jengka 10 to fetch my brother.
Reached his house at 10 p.m. Around 11 p.m. continued our journey home. Reached SB around 2.30 am. The next day (Wednesday 17.9.14) ponteng keje huhu.
My brother bought KLX motorcycle from En K. That's why he followed us home, to settle all the documentations. He went back to Jengka 10 around 3 pm.
What a tiring journey but we had fun of course.

Qayyum's birthday
Happy birthday, Qayyum.
Anyway, yesterday I was on MC. Some kind of food poisoning.
I started felt sick when we were having dinner at Johhny’s Steamboat. At first I thought it’s because the tight inner I wore inside my blouse. But Papa already had diorrhea shortly before that. He said he drank the 100 Plus that was left inside the car the whole day. And I drank that one too. Then, maybe the drink was the culprit then because our two kids didn’t have any problem.
That nite, I can’t sleep well because I had an uneasy stomach. The next morning, while I showered, I puked. Then, I thought I have to get an MC. After Papa and the kids went off, I continued my sleep coz I felt headache. It continued until they came back around 7 pm. But still we have to go out since I have to get an authorized MC from the panel clinic. And also to buy a cake for Qayyum’s birthday to be brought to the nursery.
We went to Giant but no cake shop found. Then we stopped by at DS and I saw Berry’s. I bought a chocolate cheese cake I think. Then we had dinner at KNK. I didn’t each much yesterday, maybe because my stomache still uneasy, I just had some maggi tomyam for lunch and 2 bites of cream bun. All because I want to swallow the pills. At KNK, I took ½ plate beriyani rice, some gravy of fish curry and meat gravy and 1 pc of ikan tenggiri and it cost RM9! Erk. My appetite hadn’t come to normal yet, but luckily my two kids finished it off.

TGIF
Yesterday, after work, we went straight to OU. Thought of iftar at Johnny's. Unfortunately, sampai je sana, tgk2 dah full house dengan reservations. Duh.... tensen tol. En Koji cari San Francisco Steak House, malangnya kat OU tak ada. Since dah dekat masa berbuka, we headed to TGIF. Tak penah try lagi TGIF ni, tatau la... takde la rasa teringin ke apa, but then semalam just gamble aje.
En Koji dah ternampak fave dia, Lamb Rack ke Ribs ntah... so he ordered that. I ordered 2 course meal, I chose Fried Mac and Cheese and Cajun Pasta with Chicken and Shrimp. Since we ordered 2 main meals, the kiddos got their meals for free which I chose Nachos with Salsa Dip and Kid's Burger with Fries for them.
Well, fried mac n cheese 6 ketul besar, for sure la tak abis. Cajun pasta lak, time panas rasa cam okey, tapi bila dah sejuk sikit erk... tak lalu masuk dah. or maybe by that time i'm already full with mac and cheese plus nachos.
I just tasted a slice or two je the lamb rack. Quite salty. Anyway, the mac and cheese pulak rasa tawar.

En Koji pulak pegi makan nasi beriani dengan daging masak hitam which I tumpang sikit. Lapar dowh.... time tu dah past time berbuka dah....
Terus rasa malas nak pegi Johnny's. We all went to Port Klang, saja je. Makan pulak yong tau fu. Dah kenyang, jalan-jalan balik.
On the way balik pulak, singgah kat Triple 2. En Koji had nasi lemak and me had half-boiled eggs. The kiddos bising-bising nakkan bunga api. So beli aje la.

Manhattan Fish Market (MFM)
Last Saturday, we went to KLCC for iftar. Tatau nak berbuka kat mana, sumer pon cam full house since time kitorang sampai pon dah nak dekat berbuka. Ajak En Koji ke MFM since tak pernah try lagi. Sekali, full house, only available after 8.30 pm. Memula aku dah ajak pergi je tempat lain, tapi En Koji dok berlegar-legar lagi depan MFM. Sib baik ada yang makan cepat so kitorang dapat la masuk.
We ordered the Buka Puasa Set. Ada Seafood Platter ke namanya. Dia tulis kat situ to be shared by 2 persons tapi aku tengok portion dia, 4 orang pon boleh makan. Setakat aku, En Koji ngan 2 kiddos for sure x abis. The set comes with bottomless iced lemon tea and brownies with ice cream. Ada gambar tapi tak upload lagi. Later la gambar tuh.
It was a hearty meal. Mmg x boleh nak abiskan. So tapau bawak balik, sayang kan.... membazir je. The garlic rice was nice. I guess yang buat kenyang sangat tu maybe because the seafood all coated with flour... tu yang kenyang sangat tu....

At last, hari Khamis ari tuh, En Koji dah abih keja set-upnya. So, pukul 5.30 pm dia datang jemput then terus ke KL sebab dia nak tgk hasil kerja rakan2 seperjuangan pulak. Tapi hari tu aku cam migrain, maybe sebab sahur semug nescafe susu aje kot.
Serious macam malas giler nak ikut, tapi pergi je la. Kitorang pegi Sungai Wang Plaza, tengok decor yang team Kelvin buat. Every year mmg contract Kelvin ngan Sungai Wang. Dia buat theme Arabian. Ada camels. Ok la quite nice jugak tapi the stage is too small. Tak macam Sunway Pyramid ari tuh, pon Arabian theme jugak, tapi space dia besar. Pun cantik jugak.
Most of the shopping malls tahun ni I guess banyak amik theme rumah kampung. Eg The Curve, OU and En Koji punya Mid Valley. Tahun lepas team Encik Koji buat rumah kampung nelayan, dengarnya menang award amenda ntah. Tahun ni pon rumah kampung jugak, tapi more to cartoony side, diorang guna Lat punya cartoon. Tapi Encik Koji kata, tahun lepas punya mmg ada aura, sebijik rasa kat kampung, tahun ni punya cam kureng, buat pun tak cukup masa sumer.
Back to Sungai Wang. Dalam pukul 7, menapak ke Nasi Ayam Hainan kat sebelah tu. Tengok atas bawah cam penuh, just hoped ada la empty table lagi. Alhamdulillah, dia kata kat tingkat atas ada kosong lagi. Tapi nak order dia kata thigh part dah abis, ada part area dada gitu.... aler dah la tak suka part dada, tapi no choice order jugak la.
Punya la lama, nak dekat waktu buka, baru la air sampai, air dah habis segelas nasi ayam still x sampai. Dalam 7.40 macam tu kot, baru dapat.... tak best betul part dada.... banyak isi... sumer aku bagi kiddos.
Pastu menapak ke Pavillion pulak. Kat Pavillion ni, decor dia member En Koji buat. Tapi abang En Koji pon keja ngan member dia ni. Theme dia apa ke, kampung jugak kot, ada pokok kelapa ke tamar ntah.... Boring la jalan2 kat Pavillion ni, everything mahal dowh!
Tapau McD untuk kiddos then headed home. Oh time ni migrain dah hilang...

Bangkit dalam pukul 4 am, baru la teringat stok cili mesin takde, huhuhu... tapi sib baik ada beli instant cili boh (ari tu beli kengkunun time nak masak laksa tu, malas nak blend cili tapi at last x guna pon). Sekali tgk labelling cili boh ni takde bawang besar bawang putih belacan sumer.... adeh takkan la pagi2 buta ni nak blend kot, terkejut lak jiran sebelah.
Last skali, takut masa tak sempat aku just guna cili boh, hiris bawang besar banyak2, tabur belacan yang dihancur-hancurkan, masuk asam jawa. Okay la tuh, darurat punya pasal. Mmmg la rasa lain ngan original blended chilli kan, tapi okay je la.
Goreng ikan, masak sambal. Selalu aku akan kaup balikkan ikan goreng dalam sambal, tapi this time around, tak berani so aku asing2kan aje. Rasa-rasa nak boh sambal amik je la.
Sekali aku tengok En Koji bertambah nasi sampai 3 kali. Aiii lapar sangat ke, sedap sangat ke.... ehehehhe....

[Cerita Basi] Restoran Anjung Rumbia
Kalau tak silap If I'm not mistaken the name of the restaurant is Anjung Rumbia.Located in Section 3, KD.
Got some anjungs outside the restaurant which is their signature trademark and made the kiddos excited. Overall, just okay la the food, we ordered Sup Tulang, Daging Masak Merah and Anjung Rumbia Chicken Wings.
But, Papa still prefers Vicchuda above all.

Chicken Rice Shop
After fishing, went to Tesco to buy some household groceries. Since it was VD, so around the IKEA, The Curve all were so hectic and full with vehicles. We had to use an alternative way, by using Mutiara Damansara's shortcut (Damansara Perdana) to reach Tesco.
Before emptying our pockets, we had to fill our stomach first. But actually, me and Papa were still full due to our late lunch, but Haqimie was hungry. He asked for sotong masak pedas Vicchuda but because we just had that the nite before, so we brought him to TCRS. We ordered chicken rice set for Haqimie to share with Qayyum and me ordered Dry Curry Chicken Noodle (which is wantan mee and curry chicken).

Around 11++ am (still on Friday), went to PASTI to pick Haqimie but then the ustazah had already sent him to the nursery. So picked him up from the nursery then went to have an early lunch at McD KD.

Pak Ramlee's Kopitiam
We can see everywhere so many kinds of kopitiam nowadays, rite. One of it is Pak Ramlee Kopitiam, nearby my house area. We gave a try last nite.
What tickles me is the way they spelled Lamb Chop as u can see in this pix.
Are you going to eat a 'Chop Lampu'?
I ordered Wantan Mee Dry and Papa had Nissin Fried Noodles. For the kiddos, I ordered half-boiled omega eggs (as requested by Haqimie) and butter and kaya toasts. For drinks, we only ordered teh tarik.
Papa said his noodles taste just Ok and mine was also ok-ok aje. But they were really stingy for the chicken meat in my noodles. Teh tarik was marvellous.

Kat rumah Yong pulak
Sampai rumah Yong dalam pukul 2 pm sebab Papa singgah kat Teluk Senangin nak tengok laut (ke?). Chalet kat situ tak memberangsangkan la. Jangan la ajak nak sewa chalet kat situ (pesanan untuk Papa - macam la dia baca kan).
Anyway, later that evening, tong-tong ngan Yong belanja makan kat Secret Recipe. Sampai rumah di SB around 12 am.
