Mini Shopaholic

Received my copy on Tuesday. That complete my Shopaholic Series. I'm looking forward to get other titles by Sophie Kinsella, maybe The Undomestic Goddess or maybe I should get Torment instead (it's by another author, who wrote Fallen, so since I already got Fallen, might as well I get the 2nd book of the series). Before, I thought I don't wanna buy Torment because at that time I thought I don't want to follow this series, but then since Books2u got it and of coz at much cheaper price than in major bookstores, might as well I grab it. It costs RM50+ in MPH, but at Books2u I think it's RM30 or something. Bargain (like Becky Bloomwood always thought).

Shopaholic lagi

Am addicted. Already. Well, received my copies of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic and Sister and Shopaholic and Baby. Currently reading the former. I bought from FB, but she also got a blogspot, Books2U. Got some other writer's novels and comes with a price cheaper than any major bookstores. I know that the books are quite smaller in size compared to the original ones, but who cares, as long as I can read that it's okay with me.

Current novels: Shopaholic Series

Currently reading these novels. Mmg dah ketinggalan, tapi do I care? Baru baca three books, The Confessions of a Shopaholic, Shopaholic Abroad and Shopaholic Ties the Knot. Lagi 2 books otw, I bought online. Suppose sampai last Fri, tapi tak tau la, what's wrong with Pos Ekspress, takde la pulak, same goes with my other 2 orders. Tgk esok kalau x smp jugak, harus ku tanya para penjual.

The books I read were quite funny and the way Sophie Kinsella presented them are quite unusual to me. I mean what with the official letters, and bills. So dats why I proceed to order 2 more books. Last skali, I should buy Mini Shopaholic, ari tu x cukup bajet.

I think I shud read other books by Kinsella which are not in the shopaholic series. Maybe she'll be my another fave writer.

Fallen

Currently reading Fallen by Lauren Kate.

I guess my genre of books preference mostly dark horror romance. I can't tell what the story is about ... yet, coz I only flipped only a few pages ... but I think this story is quite interesting, I hope so coz I don't wanna feel wasted buying this book at RM50++. But I do love the cover.

Updated 16/3/2010

Well, I already finished the whole book on Monday. Apparently, there will be a follow-up title TORMENT in this series.

But I don't think I wanna get that title. I don't know why, but I found this book is quite boring coz there's lotsa words (I mean more essay-type words compared to dialogues). All in all, this book is all about dark dreams, angels, demons, and so on... so the mortal girl fell in love with an angel, but of course there will be demons who hate that situation. So there's a battle to fight for the life of this girl, Luce. To me ok la, but not interesting enough to make me eager to flip page by page.

Twilight Saga

I finished the whole four books last month. I don't really know where this obsession came from, for all I know when I first watched the Twilight movie, I don't like it. I don't know why though, maybe what I expected then was not fulfilled when I watch the movie itself. I was expecting something more vampiric but what I get was some kind of not really something to be scared of. But then, few months after the Twilight movie was out, I bought the first book of the series, which carries the very same title.

Then the obsession began. I found that the novel is much more interesting than the movie. But of course since I watched the movie first, so I imagined Edward Cullen as Rob Pattinson throughout my reading. I cannot imagined somebody else though. But, seriously, the novel is really something, I just can't wait to buy New Moon next.

After only a couple of days after I finished Twilight, I bought New Moon. Then soon after I finished it, I bought Eclipse and Breaking Dawn in one shot.

Overall I really satisfied with the novels more than the movies.
